How did we develop the love for travel?
While Anirudh has been running downhills, plunging into random ponds, climbing trees and chasing animals since childhood and has grown into a person who lusts wandering. On the contrary, I started finding fulfilment in being on the road a little later in life. While I was in college, I once took a trip despite not feeling well because my roommate won't take any excuses. A terrible bus journey later, I was sitting on the rocky bank of river Beas (Manali, India). As I let my soul unwind in the mountains, the soul that had been caged for so many years by unnecessary complexities, I got liberated. I felt rejuvenated in and out, as if travel was some healing drug. It has been so since then, and is constantly needed now!
Where does the money come from?
We have full time jobs and we work really hard to get days like these. We put a big chunk of our savings to fund our travels. The downside is that we don’t own a house or a car yet. But looks like we are more in love with our memories and pictures and of course the fridge magnets that we have hoarded over the years. We constantly try to drive away the pressure of investing in more ‘meaningful’ and tangible possessions like a house or a car, these things are definitely important for comfort and security and we don't advise against having them but right now we are too greedy to put our pennies into experiences. And it’s definitely worth it!
One of our pictures has also been featured in the Economic times Panache travel edition, which has been a huge motivation
behind starting this blog and sharing our pictures and stories with the world and getting to know others’ experiences as well.
We have a little mantra that keeps us going:
When you take the road less travelled
When you do things differently
When you don’t want to be anybody else
You are living it right
Hope you like our travel and photography blog!
